On Friday, May 8, 2020, Allan Kanner will be joining a panel of experts in the field of environmental litigation on University of Oregon’s Webinar, “Holding Producers Accountable for Natural Resource Damages: PCB, MTBE, PFAs, and Climate Liability as Guidance for Atmospheric Recovery Litigation.”
Panelists will discuss the successes and failures of invoking parens patriae authority to hold producers of PCB, MTBE, PFAs, and fossil fuel products liable for natural resource damages. They will share their perspectives on the broader implications of this emerging litigation trend. These cases are instructive for Atmospheric Recovery Litigation, which seeks damages from fossil fuel producers.
Other panelists include Professor Mary Wood, Dan Galpern, Kyle McGee and Justin Massey.
