Kanner & Whiteley, LLC has been named as the winner of the Environmental Protection Law Firm of the Year Award for National Law Journal’s 2020 Elite Trial Lawyers. In addition, the firm was selected as a finalist in three other practice areas: Consumer Protection and Pharmaceuticals Litigation as well as Immigration Law for a pro bono matter.
The Environmental Protection Award recognizes the firm’s notable litigation in natural resource damage suits against Exxon Mobil Corporation on behalf of the New Jersey DEP, as well as Amerada Hess Corporation; Clean Water Act and RCRA citizens suits against Exxon Mobil Corporation and Shell Oil Products; PFAS claims against manufacturer defendants on behalf of the State of Vermont as well as an action against the United States and the Department of the Air Force on behalf of the State of New Mexico; and, a public nuisance suit against Lydia Ann Channel Moorings, LLC.
