Douglas R. Kraus
Doug joined K&W in 2011, and focuses primarily on environmental litigation. Notably, Doug is part of the K&W litigation team representing the State of Louisiana in its claim related to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the largest environmental disaster ever to occur in the Gulf of Mexico.
Prior to joining K&W, Doug was the managing attorney at the New Orleans and Baton Rouge offices of Brent Coon & Associates, during which time he represented and fought for the rights of individuals that had sustained occupational injuries. Doug was also formerly a partner at Wilson, Bowling and Kraus with a focus on medical malpractice from 1999 to 2006. Doug has successfully tried multiple cases before both judge and jury.
Doug is licensed to practice law by both the State of Illinois and State of Louisiana.
