New Jersey Natural Resources Trial Slated for January 2014

On behalf of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New Orleans law firm Kanner & Whiteley, LLC will lead the natural resources damages trial against ExxonMobil. The trial is set to commence on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Mount Holly, New Jersey before the Honorable Judge Michael Hogan.

The state’s claims focus on violations of the Spill Act along with additional common law claims against ExxonMobil for leaks and spills of various hazardous substances associated with activities at the Bayonne and Bayway refineries.

The trial is anticipated to last approximately 6 months and will take place in the historic Burlington County Courthouse, erected in 1796.
