Judge in ExxonMobil Case Rules in Favor of the State of New Jersey Regarding Intervention

On July 13, 2015, Judge Michael J. Hogan ruled in favor of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“DEP”) and denied eight environmental interest groups’ request to intervene and oppose the proposed Exxon Settlement. In an over 30 page ruling, the Court found that the environmental groups’ interests were adequately represented through the public notice and comments process.
